7 DAY SUGAR DETOX
Who doesn't need a sugar detox--especially after the glutinous holiday season? How should you get your health back on track? You are in luck, my health partner in crime! Amy and I are here to help guide you with our exciting new program to get your 2015 started off just right.
But first… Should YOU quit sugar?
· Do you get an energy slump in the afternoon?
· Do you need something sweet after lunch or dinner?
· Does your stomach get bloated after eating?
· Do you suffer from allergies?
· Are you unable to eat just one piece of candy and walk away?
· Do you carry “weight” around the middle, perhaps even slim everywhere else?
· Do you often feel unclear/foggy? That you’re not always sharp and on-form?
· Do you want to lose weight?
· Do you have an autoimmune issue and wonder if quitting sugar might make a difference?
· Do you have skin issues?
EXACTLY.
Believe me, I LOVE SUGAR. But it sure as heck doesn't love me… As much as I don't want to admit it, I was addicted to sugar. It controlled me; I couldn't help but think about it, whether it was frozen-yogurt, chocolate, gluten free cookies, ice cream, candy etc.
Being controlled by sugar was terrible. Especially because it came with stomach aches, headaches, acne, and most importantly, it affected my mood, my brain, and my conscience! Science shows that sugar is more addicting than COCAINE.
It wasn’t until after my nutrition program that I was able to understand the effects of sugar and how to make the changes to rid it. Of course I still eat sugar--I am a normal person who likes sugar like anyone else--but like Dr. Mark Hyman said in his webinar: Have it occasionally, and in good quality. I love tequila, and I enjoy it on occasion, but would I be able to justify drinking it in the morning? Same goes for sugar; don't start your day with a sugary cereal, or a pastry full of sugar.
I have learned many tools that helped me ditch my sugar cravings. And now, I am going to share these tools with you… And so much more!

FACTS:
152 pounds of sugar. That is a lot of sugar, and is the average amount an American eats and drinks each year.
That is 22 teaspoons every day for every person. Kids consume about 34 teaspoons every day making nearly one in four teenagers pre-diabetic or diabetic.
It only takes 10 days — or less, to detox from sugar, to break the addictive cycle of carb and sugar cravings that robs us of our health.
This might be the most telling statistic relating to sugar, especially when that close to 70% of America is overweight with a THIRD of the nation obese:
Sugar is the root cause of obesity and most of the chronic disease sucking the life out of our citizens and our economy — and, increasingly, the rest of the world.
Being addicted to sugar is not an emotional eating disorder. Sugar addiction is a biological disorder, driven by hormones and neurotransmitters that fuel sugar and carb cravings. It’s why nearly 70 percent of Americans and 40 percent of kids are overweight.
You name it, it’s caused by sugar: heart disease, cancer, dementia, type 2 diabetes, depression, and even acne, infertility and impotence.
Where did it come from?
Sugar was originally brought to the Americas by Christopher Columbus. At that time, sugar was simply processed by boiling the cane juice and then harvesting the crystals left behind after the water evaporated. These crystals contained protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, this is considered “raw sugar” and it was actually good for you in moderation. Unfortunately, today, we very rarely see this type of sugar in processed foods.
